The atmosphere at the institution
is Divyangjan-friendly. Inclusive education provides Divyangjan with a
barrier-free learning environment. It is beneficial not only to students,
scholars, and academics with disabilities, but also to the societies in which
they live, as it aids in the fight against prejudice and promotes diversity and
participation. This facility includes a disabled-friendly environment,
including a ramp, a restroom, signage, a tactile walkway, display boards, and
sign boards. The institute attempts to make its programs, administration, and
activities easily available to students. All of the institute's authorities are
working hard to assist the differently abled in order to ensure that they
benefit from ground programs, administrations, and activities. These guidelines
apply to all Institute academics and staff.
EXAM POLICY
The examination cell has issued specific guidelines and regulations to ensure that exams are accessible to all students. These measures might involve offering additional time, providing assistive technologies, and ensuring physical accessibility of exam venues. By making these adjustments, the institution aims to create an equitable learning environment where students with disabilities can demonstrate their knowledge and skills effectively.
RAMPS
The college ensures a barrier-free environment, allowing individuals with disabilities to navigate safely and freely and utilize the available facilities. This setup promotes independent functioning, enabling them to participate in everyday campus activities without needing assistance. Buildings, spaces, and transportation systems are equipped with the following amenities to maintain this barrier-free environment.
DISABLED FRIENDLY WASHROOMS
The washrooms in college
buildings are handicapped accessible. People with disabilities will find these
washrooms' fixtures and fittings to be user-friendly and comfortable. Entering
is made easier for people with impairments with grab bars and a non-slip
surface.
PHYSICAL ASSISTANCE
Any individual or group of individuals who can
help people with disabilities with daily tasks and independence is considered a
support system. There are two non-teaching staff members available. The exam
control department takes the initiative to arrange for impaired pupils to have
scribes during examinations.
SIGN BOARD
Ensuring that safety laws and
regulations are followed by educational institutions requires that safety
indicators be positioned in compliance with established norms. These signs
ensure the safety of the students in case of an emergency.
SCRIBE ASSISTANT
The exam control cell proactively
arranges for scribes to assist impaired pupils during examinations. This
initiative ensures that students with disabilities receive the necessary
support to complete their exams effectively, promoting fairness and inclusivity
by providing them with equal opportunities to succeed academically.
LIFT FACILITY
For a disabled-friendly, barrier
free environment, the College has lifts for the students with physical
disabilities. The Main Building of the College as well as the Sadbhabana
Building has lifts for vertical movement.
